The Role
As the Senior Software Architect, you will lead our development team to deliver robust, highly secure, and optimized solutions for our global business. You will operate as part of a larger Group IT ecosystem—collaborating alongside ERP/CRM Analysts, Data Engineer, Application Manager, and IT Admins. You must be an expert in converting complex business needs into clear, structured technical architectures and scoping user-friendly applications that our teams love to use.
In this role, you will champion a balanced development strategy: establishing standard software engineering practices as the foundation, while integrating generative AI tools into the workflow as supportive helpers to optimize development speed. Utilizing modern cloud platforms like GCP or similar, you will ensure our systems remain robust, scalable, and connected securely to our core business engine. You must be a hands-on leader who has successfully delivered end-to-end development cycles within manufacturing or business-related environments.
Key Responsibilities (External Focus)
  • Business Translation & User-Centric Design: Translate complex business requirements into intuitive technical architectures. Scope and design functional, user-friendly applications with clean user flows.
  • Team Leadership & Tech Standards: Lead and mentor the local development team, establishing high-quality coding standards and clean code architectures.
  • AI: Support the team in adopting modern generative AI development helpers (such as coding assistants) to accelerate drafting, boilerplate generation, and routine tasks.
  • Application & Integration Architecture: Design and build secure, scalable, and user-friendly applications utilizing serverless-like architectures on GCP or similar (Vercel...), as well as on-premise deployments.
  • Embedded Business Utilities: Architect applications that can safely and dynamically leverage third-party APIs, database layers, and helper AI endpoints to streamline operational workflows.
  • Secure API & SSO Design: Architect robust integration APIs, implementing state-of-the-art authentication and authorization mechanisms such as OAuth 2.0 and Single Sign-On (SSO).
  • Hands-on Development: Lead by example by actively programming core modules using modern languages (Next.js, Node.js, JavaScript, HTML, Python, and other modern technologies).
  • Vulnerability & Quality Control: Implement and maintain robust GitHub workflows and automated CI/CD pipelines, integrating penetration testing and security scanning into the deployment process.
Detailed Scope & Technical Matrix (Internal Focus)
  • Scoping project requirements and translating stakeholder feedback into clear technical specifications and wireframe structures.
  • Designing database structures and maintaining optimal data modeling patterns.
  • Overseeing GitHub pull requests, CI/CD pipelines, and vulnerability scanning activities.
  • Building, testing, and deploying serverless application components in GCP or similar.
Technical Skills Matrix:
  • Advanced: Security by Design, Business Needs Translation, User-Friendly App Design/Scoping, RESTful API Integration, Database Structure/Design, OAuth 2.0 & SSO, Serverless Architecture (GCP or similar).
  • Proficient: Next.js, Node.js, JavaScript, Python, Git/GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, penetration testing principles, development tool orchestration.
  • Familiar: On-premise infrastructure hosting, enterprise ERP system architectures.
Behavioral Competencies: Stellar communication skills, technical mentorship, strategic and analytical problem-solving, cross-cultural collaboration, empathy for user experience.
Security by Design
  • Enforce "Security by Design" principles throughout all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Ensure all applications connecting to our central systems employ encrypted communication protocols and secure API handshakes.
  • Incorporate automated security profiling and penetration testing into active CI/CD pipelines to prevent OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities.
  • Perform periodic reviews of database schemas and data-at-rest encryption matrices to secure sensitive corporate and operational data.

What you’ll bring

Job Requirements

Candidates must have 6-11 years of experience with demonstrated expertise in:
  • Database Design
  • Single sign-on and OAuth 2.0 implementation
  • Serverless architecture on platforms like GCP or similar
  • RESTful API integration and user experience design
  • Hands-on development skills in Next.js, Node.js, JavaScript, HTML, and optionally Python
  • Security by Design principles and automated penetration testing with CI/CD pipelines
