About the role
What You'll Do & The Impact You'll Have
- Architect, design, and implement scalable infrastructure solutions on AWS using best practices.
- Lead the automation of infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation.
- Build and manage CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and continuous delivery using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize performance and reliability of cloud-based environments.
- Implement security best practices and ensure that cloud environments are compliant with internal and external standards.
- Automate repetitive tasks and processes with scripting in Python, Bash, or other tools.
- Manage and optimize resource utilization and cost in AWS environments.
- Oversee the administration and management of Linux environments in production and development.
- Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on DevOps best practices.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to streamline workflows and improve productivity.

What You'll Bring to the Table
Must-Have Skills:
- Experience in a DevOps Engineer role, or similar positions.
- Extensive experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, VPC, Lambda, RDS, etc.)
- Strong proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation.
- Demonstrated expertise in building, managing, and automating CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
- Advanced scripting skills in Python and Bash for automation and tool development.
- Expertise in Linux system administration (Ubuntu, CentOS, etc.).
- Deep understanding of networking, security practices, and monitoring in cloud environments.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
