About the role
What You Will Do
- Set the strategic direction for enterprise discovery and transformation approaches across a portfolio of complex, multi-market client engagements.
- Identify portfolio-level transformation opportunities, systemic operational risks, and emerging AI adoption patterns across client industries.
- Own and evolve the methodology for measurable business value cases, including cost optimisation, productivity improvement, operational efficiency, risk reduction, and revenue impact metrics used across the practice.
- Partner with Architecture and Engineering leadership to shape enterprise-grade agentic architectures, operational models, and reusable AI-enabled business process patterns.
- Set standards for workflow logic, orchestration requirements, human review checkpoints, and success criteria that engineering delivery teams across engagements are expected to follow.
- Review and elevate the quality of BRDs, workflow specifications, user stories, process diagrams, and acceptance criteria produced across the Strategist track.
- Guide UX/UI leadership on translating complex, multi-stakeholder business workflows into scalable, enterprise-grade user experiences.
- Champion the use of AI tools and AI-assisted development platforms across the practice to prototype workflows, validate outputs, and accelerate executive alignment prior to implementation.
- Set direction for functional testing strategy across major engagements, including test strategy alignment, functional validation, and system integration testing oversight.
- Establish and refine practice-wide standards for ALM platforms such as JIRA and Confluence to manage requirements, workflows, testing artefacts, and delivery documentation.
- Lead C-suite and board-level stakeholder discussions, acting as a trusted advisor on AI transformation strategy and enterprise outcomes.
- Lead major pre-sales pursuits, shaping account strategy, structuring commercial and value narratives, and representing OBZ in strategic client and partner discussions.
- Develop flagship case studies and outcome narratives that demonstrate portfolio-level business impact and support OBZ's market positioning.
- Own escalation and resolution of portfolio-level engagement risks, commercial exposure, and delivery dependencies.
- Mentor and develop Strategists and Senior Strategists, and contribute to the growth and capability-building of the Strategist track.
What you’ll bring
Requirements
Candidates should have the following experience and skills:
- Experience in management consulting, enterprise transformation, enterprise technology strategy, or senior leadership roles within BFSI or Telecommunications environments, with a track record of leading complex, multi-market programmes.
- Established experience advising C-suite and board-level stakeholders on enterprise transformation and AI strategy.
- Deep expertise in agentic AI systems, including RAG architectures, multi-agent orchestration, human-in-the-loop workflows, AI evaluation, and enterprise AI adoption at scale.
- Extensive hands-on experience using AI tools, workflow prototyping platforms, and AI-assisted delivery tooling, with the ability to set standards for their use across a practice.
- Deep, cross-market understanding of business processes within banking, telecommunications, insurance, or related regulated industries.
- Strong commercial acumen, with experience owning account-level or portfolio-level value realization and growth outcomes.
- Ability to set and uphold standards for implementation-ready functional specifications, workflow diagrams, integration requirements, and business process documentation across teams.
- Exceptional executive communication, negotiation, and presentation capabilities, including experience representing an organisation externally.
- Proven ability to manage ambiguity and ownership across multiple concurrent, large-scale enterprise programmes.
