Engagement Manager, AI Transformation - Data and AI engineering company

Role Overview:

This is a senior client and delivery leadership role responsible for the end-to-end success and profitability of strategic client accounts. The Engagement Manager will act as the single point of leadership across client relationships, commercial management, delivery governance, and account growth.
The role sits at the intersection of strategy, delivery, and growth, requiring someone who can confidently engage senior client stakeholders while ensuring complex technology programmes are delivered successfully.
Build and manage executive-level client relationships and act as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders.
Translate client business objectives into well-governed AI, data, and cloud transformation programmes.
Own the end-to-end success and profitability of strategic client accounts.
Manage account-level P&L, including revenue, gross margin, forecasting, invoicing, collections, and profitability.
Govern multi-squad delivery programmes from discovery through production and hypercare.
Lead delivery governance through SteerCos, RAIDs, quality gates, change control, and structured SDLC practices.
Manage client escalations and ensure alignment across client stakeholders, delivery teams, and technology leadership.
Identify opportunities to expand client relationships, shape value cases, and support proposals and Statements of Work.
Manage commercial models including T&M and squad-based engagements, change orders, MSA/SOW mechanics, and client procurement discussions.
Work with AI, Data, and Cloud teams to support the delivery of GenAI, Agentic AI, and Data Platform programmes on AWS.
Coach Project Managers, Engagement Managers, and Technical Leads while building accountable, high-performing delivery teams.
Ensure programmes meet regulatory, data privacy, model governance, risk, security, and quality expectations.
Job Requirements:

Ideal Background

Experience within consulting, systems integration, or technology services environments.
At least 3 to 5 years of experience owning account-level P&L, revenue, gross margin, forecasting, and commercial outcomes.
Strong experience engaging senior executives, managing strategic client accounts, and leading complex stakeholder environments.
Proven experience governing large or multi-squad technology delivery programmes.
Strong commercial experience across proposals, SOWs, pricing models, change requests, and account growth.
High-level understanding of Generative AI, Agentic AI, Data Platforms, and AWS cloud services.
Experience within AI, Data, Cloud, or Digital Transformation programmes would be highly relevant.
Exposure to regulated industries, particularly banking or financial services, would be advantageous.
